Team Development

Building high-performing teams

High-performing teams are at the heart of every successful organisation. When people understand one another, trust one another and know how to harness their complementary strengths, collaboration improves, communication becomes more effective and performance accelerates.

Team development is one of Longshaw Consulting Group’s core areas of expertise. Since 2002, we have designed and delivered more than 500 team development workshops, including over 200 since 2020 alone, for organisations across the private and public sectors, particularly within the banking and insurance sectors. Whether supporting executive teams, senior leadership teams, departmental teams or newly formed teams, our focus is always the same: helping teams unlock their full potential and perform at their very best.

Our approach combines two powerful psychometric tools, Insights Discovery® and Motivational Maps®, to help teams understand both how people prefer to work and what motivates them to perform at their best. Together, they provide a powerful framework for increasing self-awareness, strengthening relationships, valuing complementary strengths and creating a common language that transforms the way teams work together.

In addition we have recently become accredited in BRIKX . It uses LEGO-based building and visual thinking to help individuals and teams make ideas, challenges and relationships more tangible, enabling them to explore issues from different perspectives and develop solutions collaboratively.

A powerful blend of pyschometrics and problem-solving tools.

Our clients consistently tell us that within three to six months, teams are actively applying the insights from the workshop in their day-to-day work. They communicate more openly, collaborate more effectively, build stronger relationships and move significantly closer to becoming high-performing teams.

Available as half-day and full-day workshops, every programme is practical, highly interactive and inclusive. Participants leave with a shared understanding of one another, practical tools they can apply immediately and a 30-day team challenge designed to embed new behaviours and create lasting improvements in team performance.

What makes our team development different?

Over Two Decades of Experience

With more than 500 team development workshops delivered since 2002, we bring extensive experience across a wide range of industries, cultures and leadership teams. Every workshop benefits from years of practical insight into what helps teams perform at their best.

A Powerful Blend of Psychometrics

We combine Insights Discovery®, Motivational Maps® and Bricx lego® Serious Play to provide a richer understanding of team dynamics.

Insights Discovery® helps people understand communication styles, preferences and strengths, while Motivational Maps® reveals what energises and motivates and Bricx® encourages creativity and collaboration, helping teams explore challenges from different perspectives and build solutions together

These TOOLS create a powerful platform for lasting behavioural change.

Tailored to Your Team

No two teams are the same. Every programme is designed around your team’s objectives, challenges and culture to ensure the learning is relevant, engaging and immediately applicable.

Our workshops are energetic, inclusive and discussion-based. Participants don’t just learn about high-performing teams; they experience what great teamwork looks and feels like and leave with practical actions they can implement immediately.

Madeline brings a great deal of energy to what she does. She really believes in making a positive difference to the people she works with and the organisation at large. She has an engaging communication style that people find inspiring and personable.

She gets great results because she brings out the best in individuals, teams and the cultures she works with. She has been an asset to both organisations I have worked with her in and she has always been a trusted partner and sounding board to me along the way. She is a great advocate for neurodiversity as she brings together her personal experience, her experience as a mum and her professional training experience.

I am looking forward to the programmes she is developing in this area and think it is most definitely needed in the modern corporate environment
